Deutsche Wohnen wins EPRA Sustainability Most Improved Award 2017

London / Berlin 7 September 2017. Deutsche Wohnen has won this year's EPRA Sustainability Gold Award in London in the category "Most Improved Award". The CFO Philip Grosse received the award on behalf of Deutsche Wohnen in the course of the annual EPRA conference in London.

This year is the second time that the "Most Improved Awards" have been presented. They have gone to companies that were able to achieve the most progress in their sustainability reporting in compliance with the EPRA best practice recommendations (EPRA sBPR). As Phillip Grosse explains, "Aspects of sustainability are an integral part of our long-term business and investment policy, so I am delighted to receive this award. It also motivates us to continue to make further improvements to the quality of our communication on this important issue."

EPRA, the European Public Real Estate Association, has been making these annual sustainability awards since 2012. The aim of the awards is to encourage companies in the real estate sector to be more open and transparent in their sustainability reporting in accordance with the EPRA best practice recommendations. In September 2014, the second version of these guidelines was introduced. Deutsche Wohnen carries out its reporting in line with these guidelines in order to create and promote consistency and comparability for investors within the European real estate sector. Deutsche Wohnen's EPRA sustainability reporting covers the environmental impacts of the company's portfolio and its administrative offices and is available for download on its homepage under "Sustainability" at: https://www.deutsche-wohnen.com/media/EPRA_Sustainability_Reporting_2017.pdf.
