UBS AG, Zurich, Switzerland, informed us on 02 July 2012 that according to Article 21 Section 1 Sentence 1 of the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG) on 27 June 2012 its voting rights in Deutsche Wohnen AG, Frankfurt/Main, Germany, ISIN: DE000A0HN5C6, had exceeded the thresholds of 3%, 5%, 10% and 15% and on 28 June 2012 had fallen below the thresholds of 15%, 10%, 5% and 3% of voting rights.
Following this notification UBS AG, Zurich, Switzerland, notified us on 13 July 2012 according to Article 27a WpHG that UBS interest in Deutsche Wohnen AG has been acquired solely due to its role as a joint bookrunner and joint global coordinator in the capital increase of the company which took place on 27 June 2012 and that as a consequence, UBS AG has at no time planned to gain control over Deutsche Wohnen AG or to influence the corporate strategy of Deutsche Wohnen AG.
