Deutsche Wohnen SE: Transformation into European Company completed

• From today, Deutsche Wohnen is a European Company (Societas Europaea - SE)

Frankfurt/Main and Berlin, 31 July 2017. Today, the transformation of Deutsche Wohnen AG into a European Company was entered into the commercial register and is thus legally effective. The new name of the company is Deutsche Wohnen SE. The Annual General Meeting of Deutsche Wohnen had already approved this transformation on 2 June 2017.

Deutsche Wohnen will continue to operate a two-tier system of supervisory board and management board. The transformation into an SE will have no impact on the contractual partners, employees and shareholders of Deutsche Wohnen. The headquarters and central administration of the company will remain in Germany.

Deutsche Wohnen is one of the largest publicly listed residential property companies in Germany and Europe with a business focus on managing and developing its portfolio, which consists mainly of residential properties. As at 31 March 2017, the portfolio comprised a total of 159,962 units, of which 157,790 are residential and 2,172 commercial. The company is listed in the Deutsche Börse's MDAX and is also included in the leading indices EPRA/NAREIT, STOXX^(R) Europe 600 and GPR 250.
